Ctrl+Z Architecture<\/strong>, is an initiative of Gianluca Stasi, graduated in Architecture from the Universit\u00e0 La Sapienza of Rome in 2005<\/strong>, and PhD from the University of Seville 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Since its foundation in Seville (Spain) in 2010<\/strong>, Ctrl+Z develops and applies an urban and social vision of architecture, focused on people and local realities.<\/strong>. Your attention is focused on the link between the proposed architectural processes and the social and bottom-up processes already present in a specific territory<\/strong>The central idea is that the sustainability and social nature of architecture are not found in the volumes or the materials, but rather in its approach, in its approach and its interaction with communities and in the work schemes it employs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From a technical point of view, systems that can be reproduced locally and without the need for external help are studied, considering community empowerment as an agent of change<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Often, to structure new initiatives, working formulas such as the collective work, self-construction, mutual aid and barter<\/b>It is these schemes, rather than specific forms or the use of unorthodox materials, that define the continuity and coherence of Ctrl+Z's work and constitute the core of their work.<\/p>\n

Its activities include investigation<\/b>, the teaching work<\/b>, the workshops<\/b> and the constructive experiences<\/b>, alternating with conferences that share reflections on experiences and work approaches used to connect with the communities and territories where they operate. Complementary topics are also covered, such as participatory urban planning and architecture, geodesic structures, reuse architecture, self-construction, ephemeral and temporary structures, and, above all, social architecture.<\/p>\n

Long-term initiatives carried out in different parts of the world have been recognized at the institutional level and, more importantly, for the communities they serve<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In 2016<\/b>, is part of the official exhibition of the Italian Pavilion<\/b> in the XV Biennale of Architecture of Venice<\/b>, in 2017<\/b> of the I Biennale d'Architecture de Lyon<\/b> and, in 2021<\/b>, of the XVII Biennale d'Architettura di Venezia<\/b>, where it was included in the central installation of the Spanish Pavilion<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In 2017<\/b>, his professional career has been recognized by the Curry Stone Design Prize<\/b>, an international award that seeks to highlight, honor, and reward the professional careers of those who work in architecture from a social perspective, contributing to improving the daily living conditions of communities around the world.<\/p>\n

His work in the fields of self-construction and cooperation, as well as his continuous contact with academic institutions, has promoted his collaboration with the University of Seville<\/b> for the project of international cooperation<\/b> "Sustainable and Reliable Communities in El Salvador" in 2019<\/b>, 2021<\/b> and 2023<\/b>He has also collaborated with the University of Malaga<\/b> in the development of a patent<\/b> node for geodetic structural systems in 2020<\/b>, and in 2021<\/b> has been integrated as part of the teaching staff<\/b> of the Postgraduate Course in Sustainable Architecture<\/b> of the Higher Artistic School of Porto<\/b>. Currently plays the role of interim professor<\/b> in the University of Seville<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The results of his work and research in geometry applied to community empowerment and art have led him to exhibit at the Mathematical Art gallery of the Joint Mathematics Meetings<\/b> in 2018<\/b> and 2021<\/b> and in that of the Bridges conference<\/b> in 2021<\/b>. In it 2020<\/b> has been a member of the scientific committee of the MoNGeometrija2020 Congress<\/b> and has been a member of the selection committee of the attached mathematical art gallery. In the same year he published in the Journal Of Mathematics And The Arts<\/b> and in 2021<\/b> publish in the Nexus Network Journal<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In 2025<\/b> has carried out a transfer activity in the Van Abbe Museum<\/b> (Eindhoven, Netherlands), his professional activity has been awarded in the VI Premios COAS Arquitectura & Sociedad 2025<\/b> and from April it is interim substitute professor at the ETSA in Seville<\/b>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
